What Are Common Air Conditioning Problems?

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is here with a few of the most usual cooling problems in West Palm Beach.

  • No Cool Air

If you can hear your air conditioner working but there isn’t cool air being produced, you might need to have your refrigerant levels checked. Refrigerant is what helps make sure the air being produced by your air conditioning system is actually cool. Call Service Experts and we’ll come out and review your refrigerant levels and look into why your AC system is not blowing cool air.

  • Fan Won’t Rotate

One reason your condenser fan might not be rotating could be that it merely burned out and you have to replace it. Humidity can cause more condensation so another problem to watch for is that the water is not draining right or that the drain is blocked. If you can confirm these issues, you may be able to discover the culprit; if not, give Service Experts a call and we can look into what has stopped your condenser fan from rotating and review your options to get your system up and running again.

  • Not Cooling Properly

First, try lowering the temperature on your thermostat. It seems simple but sometimes we overlook the obvious. If that doesn’t get your system cooling, take a look at the air filter. If the air filter is obstructed, it could cause significant cooling troubles. Another thing that could cause your lack of cooling is that your HVAC system is not sized properly, and unfortunately this is a typical issue when homes are constructed. Service Experts will come out and conduct an analysis to determine if the size of your system is causing your problems.

  • System is Short Cycling

If your AC is short cycling, or turning on or off continuously, it could mean one of several things. One is that your condenser or evaporator is dirty and requires cleaning. Once the equipment is cleaned and all blockages removed, you may be good to go. Remember that humidity also plays a part so if your home cools to the correct temperature, but then the humidity causes your home to warm up again, it could result in on-again, off-again air conditioning because it’s having to work harder to keep your home cool.

No matter your trouble, whatever AC trouble you run into, Service Experts is here for you 24 hours a day so we can get your home comfortable quickly.
