The NATE-Certification Advantage

March 20, 2018

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning takes pride in sending NATE-Certified technicians into customers’ homes throughout North America every day. While this title of being Nate-Certified definitely sounds reaffirming, what does it truly mean?

NATE, an abbreviation for North American Technician Excellence, is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians. NATE is the certification organization that was developed by and has been accepted by the entire HVACR industry for close to 20 years. Although, not all technicians in the industry are necessarily NATE-Certified. The certification is non-mandatory and technicians can service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration units without the certification.

It’s a priority for Service Experts that our team is NATE-Certified to make sure we are putting the most experienced technicians into our customers’ homes. To make sure technicians meet these standards, the NATE-Certification exams verify real-world working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems for technicians. The assessments are knowledge-based exams that test the technician’s understanding of these rules.

Since Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning focuses primarily on the HVAC side of NATE-Certification, our technicians earn their designations in these areas. However, NATE assessment candidates may obtain certification in any of these areas:

  • Air Conditioning
  • Air Distribution
  • Gas Heating
  • Oil Heating
  • Heat Pumps
  • Hydronic Gas (service only)
  • Hydronics Oil (service only)
  • Light Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Ground Source Heat Pump Loop Installer
  • Senior HVAC Efficiency Analyst

You can be sure that the technicians at Service Experts are highly competent and professional and will do the job right from the start. Our company has the knowledge and skill set to not only fix your HVAC systems, but to take the ultimate care of your equipment. Call to have one of our NATE-Certified experts inspect your HVAC system to be sure that it is ready to ensure your family’s comfort throughout the year.
